St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Mapusa has been growing and soaring greater heights with each passing year. Every year is a significant milestone and an occasion to celebrate. The Institution celebrated the Inauguration of the Academic Year 2023 - 2024 with the Eucharistic Celebration.
The Theme of the Inaugural Mass “Called to serve others through Education for a better society” Rev Fr. Jose Fernandes (MSFS) from Ponda was the main celebrant and Rev Fr. Tony Salema, Rev Fr. Peter da Gama, Rev Fr. Agnelo Fernandes, Rev Fr. Ramiro Luis, Rev Fr. Luis Gomes were the con-celebrants. Students from all the XI Std streams attended the function along with the Teaching, non-Teaching staff and P.T.A members. Rev Fr. Agnelo Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks after the liturgical service. This was followed by the Felicitation of Mrs. Clotilda Ferrao (UDC) non-teaching staff member. Mrs. Clotilda served the Diocesan Society of Education for 33years.She was felicitated by Rev Fr. Jose Fernandes with a shawl and a small token for her dedicated services to this institution. On behalf of the staff, Mrs. Sara Morais highlighted the great work done by Mrs. Clotilda. She spoke about her jovial and God fearing nature and thanked Mrs. Clotilda for always being supporting. Our Principal Mrs. Victoria De Souza in her address acknowledged and appreciated the hard work put in by Mrs. Clotilda, during her tenure at St Xavier’s H.S.S Mapusa. Mrs. Michelle Coelho proposed the vote of thanks.
