The Extra Curricular Committee of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, organized an Inter Higher Secondary School Quiz Competition titled “Inquizzitives 2023” on the 15th of July 2023 at the St. Joseph Vaz Auditorium in the school campus.
The quizmaster for the day was Mr. Rajiv D’Silva. A total number of 22 schools participated in the same. The quiz was pepped up with a lot of exciting general knowledge questions and ended with a nail biting finish.

- Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary School, Bicholim, emerged the overall champions of Inquizzitives 2023. The runners up were Purshottam Walawalkar Higher Secondary School, Mapusa.
- The 3rd place was shared by Dr. K.B. Hegdewar Higher Secondary School, Cujira and Loyola Higher Secondary School, Margao and the 4th place was bagged by Shri Damodar Higher Secondary School, Margao

Inter-Class Pin-up Board making Competition

The Extra-Curricular committee of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School in association with Consumer Welfare Club organised an Inter-class Pin-up Board competition for students of standards XI and XII on the topic “Consumer Awareness”. The same was scheduled on 19th July, 2023. The competition aimed to create consumer awareness as per New Consumer Protection Act 2019.
Winners of the same competition are as follows:
1st Place: XII Commerce A
2nd Place: XII Commerce B
3rd Place: XII Vocational (B&C)
1st Consolation Prize: XI Commerce C
2nd Consolation Prize: XI Commerce A

Honda Higher Secondary School Honda Sattari, on the occasion of Late Shri Krishnarao Appaji Rane's birth anniversary and founders day ,organised an all Goa Elocution competition on the topic Unemployment and Today's Youth. Mr. Aryan Arolkar from XII science E participated in this competition and won the third place.

The Extra-Curricular committee of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School in association with Consumer Welfare Club conducted an inter-class Poster Making competition for students of standards XI and XII on 20th July 2023 on the topic “Consumer Rights and Responsibilities”. The competition aimed to create consumer awareness as per new Consumer Protection Act 2019.Outstanding posters were awarded the following prizes:
1st Place: XI Arts A
2nd Place: XII Commerce C
3rd Place: XII Science B
1st Consolation Prize: XI Commerce A
2nd Consolation Prize: XI Arts B

In an HSS competition entitled," Francopholia", by the French department of Goa University, our students participated in various competitions. Our students won 2nd prize in the French Clichés reel/video competition. We also won 1st place in the group singing competition.

As per the guidelines of the Dept. of Education, as part of ‘Janabhagidari Events’ St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa organised a workshop on the Topic 'Identifying Gifted Children in the Classroom Settings' on the 4th of July 2023, the Workshop Committee. The speaker for the same was Dr. Mrs. Gargi Sinha Roy Principal of Sanjay School, Vasco. The talk was attended by the teachers of St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School and teachers of the Mapusa II Super School Complex.
The workshop was organised jointly by the workshop committee and the Mapusa II Super School Complex committee. In all 60 teachers attended the workshop. The vice- principal Rev. Fr. Agnelo Fernandes welcomed the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering.
Ms. Mewra Paes was compere for the day. Ms. Elaine introduced the Guest Speaker while Ms.Shamin Cardozo gave the Vote of Thanks. It was an insightful workshop.

Master Charles Pereira of STD XI Commerce won the second place in the Bardez Taluka Power Point Presentation Competition on the topic "Life of our Late Chief Minister Bhahusaheb Bandodkar"

The United Goan Photographers and Videographers Association in collaboration with the Extra Curricular Committee of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, organized a Poster Competition titled “Life line or Death Fine : The Choice is Yours” at St. Xavier’s Ark Hall, Mapusa. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Bossuet Da Silva (Superintendent of Police).

The Poster Competition was held on 17th August 2023 and there were a total of 124 participants for the same. Outstanding posters were awarded the following prizes :
1st Prize : Rohan Rajesh Yellanar, St. Michael’s H.S.S, Taleigao.
2nd Prize : Harsh D Borkar, Shree Shantadurga H.S.S, Bicholim.
3rd Prize : Rachita N Madkaikar, Our Lady of Rosary H.S.S,Dona Paula.
1st Consolation Prize : Zidane Mascarenhas, Loyola H.S.S, Margao.
2nd Consolation Prize : Krish Gaonkar, Shree Shantadurga H.S.S, Bicholim.
3rd Consolation Prize : Saish Chari, Harmal Panchakroshi H.S.S., Harmal.

Sessions were held on the topics, ‘Traffic Rule’ by Mr. Bossuet Da Silva and ‘Women and Child Abuse’ by Mr. Emidio Pinho respectively, on 19th August ‘23 at St. Xavier’s Ark Hall.

In association with Immigration Consultant a presentation on the scope of higher studies abroad for XIIth standards students was organised on 13th September 2023 in St. Joseph Vaz Auditorium. The resource person for the talk were Mrs Shwetali and Mr Blake Da Costa.

Mount Mary Higher Secondary School, Chinchinim organised their annual All Goa Inter-Higher Secondary Folk Dance Competition on 14th September 2023. Fourteen higher secondary schools participated in the same and St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School ,Mapusa won the second Place. The students performed the ‘Panihari Ghada Dance' of Rajasthan.

In the All Goa Debate competition held on 13th Sept 2023 at the Ravindra Bhavan, Curchorem Goa, St. Xavier's H.S.S bagged the first prize. Ms. Aashna Tiwari and Mr. Sheldon Campos were the participants for the same.

Carmel higher secondary school Nuvem Goa organised PRISSMA 2023 consisting of 11 different competitions. We participated in the same and won OVERALL SECOND PLACE

Ramacrisna Madeva Salgaokar Higher Secondaey School had organised an Inter Higher Secondary School Quiz on 9th December 2023. Ms. Anisha Thakur of XII Arts C and Master Soham Dabholkar from XI Commerce B participated and won the Second prize for the same.

The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of St Xavier's College, Mapusa, organised an event titled "MEDIASCOPE 8.0" on 13th December 2023. Our Institution participated and won the overall championship for the second time in a row.

Cuncolim United Higher Secondary School organized An All Goa Inter Higher Secondary Quiz Compettion on 6th December 2023. Our institution bagged the second place . Mr. Sparsh Naik and Mr. Aryaan Arolkar.were the participants for the same.

Loyola Higher Secondary School organised an All Goa Inter-Higher Secondary event titled “CORNUCOPIA 5.0” on 20th November 2023. Our Instituition participated and emerged as Champions and won the First place. The event comprised of 10 competitions. We also bagged the following:

On 9th Deccember 2023 the Department of Mass communication and Journalism of ST.Xavier’s College , Mapusa conducted an Orientation Programme for the students of class XIIi about the Career oppurtunities in the field of Media and Course structure. The Speakers were Ms. Vailarose Fernandes and Ms. Saaniya Lotliker.

The Directorate of Tribal Welfare in association with United Tribal Association Alliance, (UTTA) organized “Adivasi Vidhyarthi Sammelan” on 11th December 2023 at Shree Mahalasa Narayani Devalay Hall, Verna.
Sessions were held on the topics “Cyber Safety” by Ms. Sonali Patankar and “Legal information and Management” by Mr Suresh Chandra. Students from St. Xavier’s attended the same. The sessions were meaningful and enriching.
