A cleanliness drive was organized at St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, Goa at 9:30 AM with active participation from students, teachers, and health officers. The activity was conducted jointly by the NSS Unit, YRC [Youth Red Cross], and Eco Club Committee of the school as part of the Swachh Bharat initiative.The drive began with a short briefing by the health officers on the importance of hygiene, waste segregation, and maintaining a clean environment for better health. Following this, students along with teachers were divided into groups and assigned different areas of the school campus including playground, and garden. Participants collected dry waste, plastic, and litter, and ensured proper disposal. Health officers guided students on safe waste handling practices. Teachers and NSS, YRC, and Eco Club volunteers supervised the activity and motivated the students.The drive lasted for about 2 hours and concluded with a pledge to keep the school and surroundings clean.
