Inaugural Mass for the Academic Year 2026–27

St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School solemnly inaugurated the Academic Year 2026–27 with a Holy Mass celebrated on the school campus. The Eucharistic celebration was organized by the Co-curricular Committee and was attended by the management, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students.

The Main Celebrant for the Mass and the Chief Guest for the Installation Ceremony that followed was Rev. Fr. Roque Gonsalves. Hailing from Majorda, Fr. Roque is a dedicated Pallottine priest who holds a Doctorate in Biblical Theology and is currently residing at the Pallotti House, Parra. He was joined by the concelebrants, Rev. Fr. Pedro Da Gama (Manager) and Rev. Fr. Agnelo Fernandes (Vice-Principal).

The celebration marked the beginning of a new academic year under the inspiring theme, “Rooted in Christ, Bear Fruits of Wisdom and Service.” Reflecting on the words of Jesus from John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit,” the homily encouraged everyone to remain rooted in Christ and strive for excellence through wisdom, faith, and selfless service.

The Mass concluded with prayers for God’s abundant blessings on the students, faculty, and staff, seeking His guidance throughout the academic year.
