An awareness talk on Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) was conducted by the Workshop Committee for the girl students of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, on 15th April 2026 at the St. Joseph Vaz Auditorium.
The session was led by Dr. Akhila M Assistant Professor in Prasutitantra Evam Striroga at AIIA, Goa, who spoke about the causes, symptoms, and prevention of PCOS. She emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet, regular exercise and timely medical consultation in managing the condition effectively.
A total of 220 students attended the programme. The session was interactive, and many students participated in the question-and-answer segment at the end, where their doubts were clarified.
The programme was informative and well received by the students.
