On the occasion of World Environment Day, Goa Science Centre & Planetarium in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Climate change, Government of Goa organized a workshop on Carbon footprint for students of Higher Secondary Schools on the 26th of June 2025.
Two students, Mr. Vedant Saxena from XII Sc C and Mr. Aryan Kauthankar from XII Sc D attended the same along with Ms. Maria de Lourdes Coutinho. The workshop was conducted by the team from Aranya Environment Reasearch Organisation, Goa. It focussed on the following topics
- Introduction to Carbon Footprint
- Calculation of individual carbon Footprint and Discussion
- Activity on recycling and sorting
- Certificates were awarded to each participant.
