The Vocational Department of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School recently organized a one-day workshop titled “Skill Up Your Life” for the students of Std. XI Vocational on 13th September 2025. The main aim of the workshop was to give students an opportunity to learn new skills in a creative and practical way. The resource persons conducted sessions in a variety of areas—Ms. Urmila Pilankar guided the students in the traditional craft of Lippan Art, while Ms. Muskan Sawar held an interesting session on Mehendi Art. Mr. Jason D’souza introduced the art of Bonsai Living, and Ms. Suzie Vaz encouraged creativity through Bottle Painting. At the same time, Mr. Aaron Monteiro provided a useful introduction to Digital Media Production, and Mr. Manohar Naik shared basic knowledge of Electrical Repairs.
A total of 123 students across the XI Vocational actively participated in the different sessions and enjoyed the chance to explore new skills. The workshop was both enjoyable and informative, giving students the confidence to try their hands at creative work as well as practical tasks. The day proved to be a memorable experience for everyone involved, and the school sincerely thanks the resource persons and the Vocational Department team for making the event a great success.
