A series of workshops on Bottle Painting, Fabric Painting, Crochet Crafting, Hair styling and Photography & Videography were carried out in our institution. The events saw enthusiastic participation from students who gained hands-on experience and valuable insights from our expert resource persons.
- 1. Bottle Painting: The resource person was our Portuguese Teacher. Ms. Maria Suzie Vas. This workshop helped students in enhancing their creativity and they were given liberty to express their skills in the form of art. Under her guidance, the students were able to create wonders such as painting flowers in a single brushstroke and creating marvellous mandala artwork.
- 2. Fabric Painting: The workshop was guided by our Hindi Teacher, Ms. Nidhi Falari, who explained the basics of fabric painting and shared different techniques of creating designs. She demonstrated the different patterns to paint on fabric step-by-step. Students were guided how to prepare the surface, select appropriate designs and apply brush neatly. All the participants enthusiastically created their own fabric painting. It was a very creative session and gave opportunity to students to learn a new art form.
- 3. Crochet Crafting:The resource person was a Commerce Teacher, Ms. Cyndrella D’Souza. She started with the basic stitches such as chain stitch, single stitch and double stitch. Though it was challenging initially for students, the technique was quickly picked up and managed by students to create crochet flowers. It increased patience, encouraged focus, and creativity in the students’ minds. The resource person’s skill of dedication and enthusiasm of teaching, made everyone to learn and explore the art of crochet.
- 4. Personal Grooming and Hair Styling: The workshop was conducted by Ms. Rakshanda Bhandari, a Beauty & Wellness Teacher in the Beauty & Wellness Laboratory. The session was very interactive and the resource person made every student to perform and practice the Makeup skills by experimenting on the other student. The students learnt many hair styles and basic makeup skills.
- 5. Photography and Videography:The resource person was Mr. Govind Patil and Mr. Viraj Nadar. They gave an insightful talk on different types of photography, like wedding and fashion photography. They also briefed about the technical parts like the aperture, portrait, ISO, composition, and shutter speed. Later students were given a practical activity of taking photos of different scenes in the open ground, which were later graded and revived by the resource persons. Hence it was a very interesting and enlightening session as a whole.
