An awareness programme was conducted on 23rd June 2026 to encourage students to adopt eco-friendly practices by using metal, stainless steel, or glass tiffin boxes instead of plastic ones.
Students were informed about the harmful effects of plastic on the environment and the benefits of choosing durable, reusable alternatives. They were encouraged to bring their meals in metal, stainless steel, or glass tiffin boxes as a simple yet effective step towards reducing plastic waste.
On canteen days, students were also encouraged to bring their own empty tiffin boxes and reusable cups to collect and consume their food and beverages. This initiative successfully eliminated the generation of single-use plastic waste within the school campus and reinforced the importance of responsible waste management and sustainable living.
The programme created greater environmental awareness among students and motivated them to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives, contributing to a cleaner and greener school environment.
