A career talk on "Career as a Company Secretary" was organized for the students of Class XI Commerce on 12th August 2026 at 9.30 am at St. Joseph Vaz Auditorium.
The session began with the introduction of the Chief Guest, CS Dharmaraj Bhonsle, by the compere. CS Bhonsle is a practicing Company Secretary and expert in corporate law and governance.
The resource person addressed the students and gave detailed insights into the role and scope of a Company Secretary in today’s corporate world. He explained the duties of a CS, career opportunities, eligibility criteria, course structure of ICSI, and the importance of compliance and corporate governance in companies. He also highlighted the skills required such as communication, legal knowledge, and analytical ability to succeed in this profession. Students actively interacted and clarified their doubts regarding the CS course.
The program was coordinated along with Goa Chapter coordinator Mr. Vasant Kerkar, who ensured smooth conduct of the session.
At the end of the session, students presented potted plants to CS Dharmaraj Bhonsle and Mr. Vasant Kerkar as a token of appreciation.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by a student, who thanked the resource person, coordinator, and all participants for making the session informative and engaging.
The talk proved to be highly beneficial for commerce students in exploring Company Secretary as a promising career option.
