The ECC Committee of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa organised Grandparents’ Day on 25 July 2026 in the Auditorium to honour and celebrate the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren.
The programme began at 9.00 a.m. with a warm welcome by the students, followed by the presentation of handmade cards and a prayer service. A heartfelt video featuring messages from the grandchildren added an emotional touch to the occasion. The Principal addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of valuing grandparents, communicating with them and cherishing their love and wisdom.
The grandparents were then invited to the cafeteria, where an entertaining programme comprising a skit, dance performances and games was organised by the students. Refreshments were served, and each grandparent was presented with a special gift as a token of appreciation.
The programme concluded at 11.45 a.m., leaving everyone with cherished memories of a joyful and meaningful celebration.
