As part of organ donation awareness campaign, a special Morning Assembly and an Awareness Talk were conducted at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, on 21st August and 27th August 2026 respectively.
The Morning assembly included a 2-minute speech delivered by Ms. Sancia of XII Science. The speech reached 1700 students and staff, highlighting that one donor can save up to eight lives. Facts about organ donation were explained in simple language.
On 27th August 2026, a session on Organ Donation was conducted by Dr. Amol Mahaldar, a nephrologist, along with Ms. Stacy Fernandes. The session aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of maintaining healthy organs, organ donation and transplantation. Overall, the session was informative and thought-provoking. It helped students understand the importance of organ health and transplantation while creating awareness about the valuable role of organ donation in saving lives. The talk was attended by a total of 120 students.
