*Kamakshi Culinary College, Verna* organised the preliminary rounds of the Rockstar Chef Competition held at St. Xavier's HSS on the 29th of August 2026.
Proud to announce the winners of the competition.
1) *Ms. Valonia Fernandes of XII Commerce C* won the prize in the dessert category of general stream for her goan sweet *Pinagr*.
2) *Ms. Sabira Fernandes XII Science C* was the winner in the Hot Kitchen category for her dish *Melgor*.
3) *Ms. Rashmi Bandodkar XII B&C* was the winner in the Hot Kitchen category from the bakery and confectionery section for her dish *Khatkhatem*.
4) *Ms. Jolene D'Souza XII B& C* was the winner in the dessert category from the bakery and confectionery section for her dessert *Pasteis de Nata*.
It was a tough competition and with 24 participants and a display of 24 differerent Forgotten Goan Delicacies all come alive in one competition. The students truly displayed their culinary talents in the best possible manner.
The winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs. 2,500/- each. And are invited to participate in the all Goa inter HSS, Rockstar Chef Competition to be held in November at Kamakshi College, Verna.
