The Co-Curricular Committee of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa organized the Feast Mass on 15th August 2026 to commemorate the Feast of Our Lady of Assumption. The Mass was held in the school and was celebrated by the Vice Principal, Rev. Fr. Agnelo Fernandes, in a prayerful and solemn atmosphere.
The theme of the Mass was “Mhoje Sovem Rigun, Mhojea Avoichem Jivit Apnnayat”, which inspired the school community to reflect on faith, gratitude, family values and the importance of carrying forward the good values and teachings received from our elders.
The celebration brought together the students, teaching and non-teaching staff in prayer and thanksgiving. The readings, hymns and prayers added meaning and reverence to the occasion. In his homily, Rev. Fr. Agnelo Fernandes emphasized the significance of the Feast of the Assumption and encouraged everyone to live lives of faith, love, service and compassion.
The Feast Mass was a meaningful and spiritually enriching celebration for the entire school community. It provided an opportunity for everyone to come together in prayer, strengthen their faith and celebrate the values of unity, love and service.
