The Workshop Committee organised an Awareness and Motivational Session on Career choices in the Indian Navy for the students of Std XII Science on 28th March 2026 from 9:30am to 11:00 am in the St. Joseph Vaz Auditorium. The Session was conducted by the Commander, Siddharth Nehra, Senior Education Officer from the Naval War College, Goa.
To begin with Commander Siddharth Nehra presented an inspirational video highlighting the arenas in the Indian Navy where silent warriors engage themselves in various operations safeguarding the Nation. He briefed the students on the Historical Maritime Value and identity of our Country, the Maritime Environment, Maritime Security for National Prosperity. He explained to the students the different domains, the underwater submarines, on the surface ships, in the air, aircrafts and in the space, satellites that the Navy work on. The Commander with his expertise informed the students on how to join the Merchant Navy, the various branches, the criteria and the selection procedure. He also focussed on the Agniveer and the Agnipath Scheme. The session was very insightful, informative and a fruitful one.
