St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa – Goa, organised a heartwarming Grandparents' Day Celebration on 25th July 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ark Hall, to honour the love, wisdom, and support of our cherished grandparents. The event began with a warm welcome, as students presented handmade cards created during a class-wise competition on 24th July. The celebration commenced with a Grandparents' Entry March, where grandchildren proudly escorted their grandparents to the front, followed by a prayer and the hymn "Showers of Blessing", invoking divine grace.
Principal Ms. Victoria De Souza delivered a heartfelt address, acknowledging the enduring influence and sacrifices of grandparents. This was followed by a melodious song and a touching video presentation, showcasing student messages and cherished memories.
A skit presented by students added laughter and humor, celebrating the warmth of grandparents, while a vibrant dance performance captivated the audience with energy and grace.
Interactive moments included spot prizes for fun traits, and a lively "Passing the Parcel" game with a twist, encouraging cheerful participation from all.
The program concluded with a sincere vote of thanks and the distribution of tokens of love to all grandparents. The Grandparents' Day Celebration was indeed a touching tribute to the elderly pillars of our families. Their radiant smiles and heartfelt expressions reflected how deeply they cherished the event, making it a resounding success.
