Report on ABHA Camp

The Skill Workshop & Health Awareness Committee of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, organized an ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) generation camp on 23rd August 2025 in the Innovation Block of the institution.

The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) aims to develop the backbone necessary to support the integrated digital health infrastructure of the country. It is implemented by the National Health Authority (NHA), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

ABDM bridge’s the existing gap amongst different stakeholders of the Healthcare ecosystem through digital highways and creates a national digital health ecosystem that supports universal health coverage in an efficient, accessible, inclusive, affordable, timely and safe manner.

An individual/citizen/patient is provided with a randomly generated 14-digit number which is known as ABHA. This number is used for the purpose of uniquely identifying a person in the digital health ecosystem.

The camp was conducted by Ms. Dikshita Mandrekar, Finance Manager & Accounts, ABDM Section, DHS, Panjim, Ms. Vipula Khorgaonkar, Data Assistant, UHC, Mapusa and Ms. Shruti Arolkar, DEO Apprentice, UHC, Mapusa. Students of St. Xavier’s H.S.S along with their parents participated in this camp. A total of 209 ABHA IDs were generated in this camp.
