Report on the Skill Based Workshop held for Std XII Arts students on 14th July 2025

Our recent series of workshops on Canvas Painting, Candle Making, Tie and Dye, Personal Grooming, Flower Making, and Crochet was a resounding success. The events saw enthusiastic participation from students who gained hands-on experience and valuable insights from our expert resource persons.

Canvas Painting: Students unleashed their creativity, exploring various techniques and styles to create stunning artworks. The Resource Person was Mr. Yogesh Kauthankar, a born Fine Artist with many accolades to his name.

Candle Making: The Resource Person was Ms. Ablin Fernandes, our very own Librarian. Students learned the art of crafting beautiful candles, taking home their unique creations.

Tie and Dye: The workshop brought out the artist in everyone, as participants created vibrant, one-of-a-kind designs under the guidance of Sir Shivaji Gaonkar, Department of Mathematics.

Personal Grooming: Our expert Ms. Gaylene Leitao, entrepreneur for Giselle Salon Academy, shared valuable tips and tricks, empowering students to enhance their confidence and self-care routines. She helped students to unlock their personal styles with her flawless makeup.

Flower Making: Participants crafted exquisite flowers, learning intricate details and techniques with the help of our Resource Person Ms. Arpita Ghanchi, Former student of St. Xavier’s.

Crochet: Students picked up the basics of crochet, creating adorable projects and taking home new skills. The Resource Person was Ms Cyndrella D’Souza, teacher at St. Xavier’s.

Participants praised the expert resource persons for their patience, guidance, and enthusiasm.

The workshop provided a platform for students to unleash their creativity, explore new techniques and develop practical skills.
